Common questions

Your Questions, Answered

Do prices change once you start?

No, that's the point of a fixed quote. We inspect the drain, settle on a number together, and that figure doesn't move once we're on the job, even if the blockage turns out messier than expected.

What does 'from $89' actually include?

It covers straightforward blockages, cleared with standard equipment and no unusual access issues. We confirm the exact figure once we've had a look, so you're never guessing what the final cost will be.

What does '$65 off your first service' cover?

New customers get $65 taken off their first job with us, whether that's a blocked drain, a CCTV inspection or general drain clearing. It's applied to the invoice once the work's confirmed.

What discounts do you offer?

Besides $65 off your first service, we run a free CCTV drain inspection with any jet blast, a free plumbing inspection when the job's worth $200 or more, a free premium garden tap on any paid job, and a 20% seniors discount.

What standards does drainage work follow?

Plumbing and drainage work in NSW is done to the AS/NZS 3500 series, the national plumbing standard. We work to those rules as a matter of course, not as an upsell.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A plunger or hot water sorts plenty of simple sink or shower blockages. Anything that involves opening up the drainage pipework is a licensed job in NSW, both for safety and to keep your warranty intact.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

As a rule, the pipework on your property is on you, and the public main becomes the authority's responsibility from the boundary connection onward. We'll always tell you honestly which side of that line your blockage sits on.

Do wipes really block drains?

Yes, more than almost anything else we clear. So-called flushable wipes are not flushable. They stay whole long after toilet paper's gone, and clog toilets and sewer lines more than any other single culprit we deal with.

How fast can you get here?

Same-day service is standard, not the exception. Call and we'll talk through what's happening, then have someone at your door within hours in most cases.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes. A real person answers the phone, day or night, not a machine or an overseas call centre. Drains don't keep business hours, so neither do we.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9139 9922 and we'll take it from there, or fill in the callback form and we'll ring you back within minutes to lock in a time.

What happens after I call?

We talk through what's going on, lock in a slot that works for you (often the same day), then walk you through the fixed price before any tools come out. No surprises on the invoice at the end.

What suburbs do you service?

Box Hill is home turf, and our regular run covers Rouse Hill, The Ponds, Riverstone, Kellyville and Bella Vista too. Call if your suburb isn't listed; chances are we're already nearby.

Why do Box Hill's older homes get blocked drains?

Box Hill is mostly new-build, but the reactive clay under it moves through wet and dry cycles, stressing pipe joints in even recent drainage runs. Add flexi-hose and fitting failures as homes age past warranty, and blockages show up earlier than owners expect.

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

Yes. New-estate plumbing is most of what we see around Box Hill, from builder shortcut fittings that need rectifying early to CCTV checks before a renovation starts.

How local are you, really?

We're regularly working streets around Water Lane Reserve and Hynds Road, not just passing through on the way to somewhere else. This patch of Sydney is one we know well.
